Nutrition plays a vital role in helping cancer patients during treatment. Good nutrition can help maintain energy and strength, reduce the risk of infection, improve tolerance to side-effects, and promote healing and recovery. Patients in our survivorship program work with our dietitians to create individualized nutrition plans, learn how to prepare quick and healthy meals, and maintain a healthy body composition during treatment.
Melanie Hendershott, RDN, CSO is our Spirit of Survival registered dietitian. Melanie received her Master's degree in nutrition from Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine and is board certified in oncology nutrition.
Kimberly Crane is a Registered Dietitian and certified in nutrition support. She has experience working in many different specialties within healthcare but is most passionate about oncology.
