Biography
Shaw Cancer Center would like to introduce Jason Martin, MD. Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Martin is fellowship trained and specializes in breast reconstruction and aesthetic plastic surgery. He completed his general surgery residency and plastic surgery training over a six-year period at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois
Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Martin is fellowship trained and specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, breast, and body. Dr. Martin is nationally recognized as a leader in the field of plastic surgery and has contributed to the development of multiple plastic surgery related technologies and less invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Martin completed his general surgery residency and plastic surgery training over a six-year period at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He was then selected for post-surgical training in cosmetic surgery at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. After practicing in New York City, Dr. Martin transitioned to Aspen, Colorado to become the owner/director of the Aspen Institute of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AIPRS). Dr. Martin further expanded his practice to the Denver area to better serve the residents of Colorado. As part of this expansion, he recently opened a state-of-the-art facility in Cherry Creek, Colorado, which offers the latest in non-surgical aesthetic treatments and procedures. The new facility was recently designated as the Mountain West BodyTite™ Training Center in association with InMode, the developers of BodyTite™. Dr. Martin is now with Vail Health to bring much needed reconstructive services for the face, breast and body to this area.
Dr. Martin is an early integrator of aesthetic technologies and is an integral contributor to advancements involving current laser and ultrasound-assisted body contouring devices. He has regularly lectured and educated other medical professionals regarding these technologies, including Smartlipo™, Cellulaze™, CoolSculpting®, VASERlipo™, and BodyTite™.
During his career, Dr. Martin has held many elected positions, including Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Vice President of the Medical Staff at Aspen Valley Hospital. He serves on multiple medical advisory boards including the Colorado chapter of Susan G. Komen. Dr. Martin is now an adjunct professor for the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Colorado and regularly participates with training of the fellows in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. He has also been extensively published in the field of plastic surgery.
