Skin Cancer

Call Shaw Cancer Center at (970) 569-7429 with questions or to schedule an appointment.

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States and usually forms on the head, face, neck, hands and arms. Skin cancer is more commonly seen in people who spend a lot of time in the sun or have been sunburned, have a family history of skin cancer, are over the age of 50 or have a fair complexion.

Because skin cancer treatment is more likely to work well when cancer is found early, suspicious skin markings and any changes in the skin should be seen by a doctor. If not treated, some types of skin cancer cells can spread to other tissues and organs.
